Peter has been playing the piano for over 30 years, achieving his Grade 8 with distinction way back in (ahem) 1999. He studied music at Canterbury Christchurch University for many years and also received formal classical training at Blackheath Conservatoire. Over the years Peter has performed in a variety range of musical formats such as orchestras, choral societies, and rock groups etc.
He even appeared on Songs of Praise and Last Night of the Proms!
With an infectious passion for music and variety of teaching methods at his disposal, Peter is committed to helping others realise their potential and looking forward to welcoming you on board.
We offer three types of lessons:
- Formal Learning – classical piano working through the ABRSM grading system.
- Playing For Pleasure – more informal, enabling you to play your favourite tunes or entertain friends.
- Showcase – helping you to prepare a piece of music for a special occasion.
- Lessons will cost £20 for 45 minutes tuition

You can either have lessons at the SPE Headquarters, or we can come to you providing you have a piano or suitable size keyboard.

Our catchment area is predominately South East London and Kent, but please enquire if you are outside of this as we are happy to consider exceptions. For home visits further than 30 miles from SPE Headquarters, we charge an additional £10 to cover our travel costs. Please contact us to confirm that we are able to meet your request.
